National Account Manager – Contract Catering

My client is an instantly recognisable business with a portfolio of leading brands. Unique in that they are a blue chip business but retain the authentic feel of a start-up SME. A combination of these factors ensures a successful and growing business.

 

On their behalf I am recruiting an ambitious and innovative National Account Manager to join their foodservice/OOH division to manage a customer base of contract catering accounts.

 

Reporting directly to the Controller the successful candidate will manage key customer portfolios (accounts such as compass, Sodexo, Elior) and work across market leading brands.

 

You are required to lead, manage and develop the account for the business. You will be responsible for achievement of volume, profit and net revenue for a specific account portfolio.

 

Working internally with cross functional stakeholders from Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance the National Account Manager will be accountable for the realisation of sales objectives to support the overall professional business objectives.

 

The role will be field based with regular travel to both customer site and the head office (based South East England). This is a hugely exciting role, joining the company at a time of growth and expansion.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience at National Account Manager level within an FMCG Foodservice environment
  • Experience of managing and developing contract catering accounts at a national level
  • Commercially astute with P&L understanding and ability to leverage OOH metrics
  • Experienced project management and cross functional working (internal and external)
  • Ability and confidence to negotiate at all levels and build networks
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills with a problem solving mentality
  • Possess strong tactical negotiation skills

 

Clear knowledge of the OOH / Foodservice industry is a must and ideally you will also have worked within a branded FMCG environment. The right individual for this role will have a strong understanding of markets, competitors and consumer behaviour.
