Our client:

  • A leading sales and marketing agency that specialises in providing comprehensive solutions to FMCG manufacturers.
  • They are looking for an Account Lead to manage this client relationship – with a focus on the grocery and convenience channels.
  • This is a global business with huge operations in the US and a rapidly growing team in the UK – great opportunity to join an entrepreneurial aspect of a larger enterprise.

The role:

  • In this client facing role as Account Lead, you will develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders within the client you manage – a huge FMCG drinks business.
  • Reporting into the Business Unit Controller – you will be responsible for setting the strategy and working /challenging the client to drive the very best returns from the field execution they deliver.
  • Communication and leadership – you will understand the needs of your global drinks client and communicate effectively in order to maximise the outreach out your field sales team.
  • As Account Lead, you will own the relationship between the business and your respective off trade sector (grocery and convenience) and become the sector expert within organisation.

Ideal candidate:

  • You will have strong people skills and an ability to lead via example – able to effectively build relationships and a strong rapport.
  • As Account Lead, you will have a strong track record of building and maintaining relationships with senior leadership teams.
  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar off trade position (ideally in drinks) is required to be eligible for this role.
  • You might be an established National Account Manager or Senior National Account Manager, currently working for an FMCG manufacturer who is looking for the next people leadership role within their career.
