Area Sales Manager – Non-Food – Northern Territory

Our client:

  • A global business operating across multiple countries and customer channels manufacturing and distributing a variety of non-food products. These include licensed, home & gift led products.
  • Products are fun, innovative and cater for all age groups across multiple categories.
  • The category is buoyant, in high demand and the business is currently in growth despite difficult market conditions
  • Sell to a high variety of retailers across the UK
  • An opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join the team covering the North-West territory.

 

The role:

  • Managing a North-West territory including Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and surrounding area
  • Selling to a mix of retailers including independents, garden centres and buying groups amongst others
  • Working as part of an independent sales team, striving to achieve targets both as a team and individually
  • Work in conjunction with the strategic plans of the business and different brands
  • Develop existing business and seek new business opportunities across the area

 

Ideal candidate:

  • Will need to have previous area sales or territory sales management experience
  • Will need to have experience of operating in a territory or area sales manager role. You may also come from a merchandising background or store manager role and looking for a change in direction.
  • Will ideally have experience of operating in a non-food product category – for example gifting, licensed products, home or a closely related industry. Candidates from a more traditional FMCG area will also be considered.
  • Will need to be ambitious, diligent, organised and able to manage your own diary and time effectively
  • Target driven, good at building relationships and enjoy being customer facing
  • Able to travel across the territory as per the needs of the role and business
