The role:

  • The successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and winning new regional and independent accounts across the food hospitality industry
  • The Business Development Manager will develop new business leads by networking and attending events
  • Reporting to the head of Sales, the Business Development Manager maintain a live prospect of accounts that have the potential to significantly grow the business.
  • Being an excellent relationship builder the Business Development Manager will design and develop a food proposition that aligns to customers needs.
  • As Business Development Manager you will drive financial performance across revenue, profit, costs and margins to deliver targeted budgets.
  • The business is extremely food and food innovation focused, as the Business Development Manager you will understand and capatalise of food trends and innovation. In the role you will be selling to chefs.

 

Ideal candidate:

  • You will currently be working in a business development role within the food industry ideally within UK foodservice or food wholesale. You also could be from a food background such as a chef and be looking for a new challenge
  • It is essential that you can demonstrate good knowledge of the food industry
  • Ideally you will have proven experience of winning new business
  • For the Business Development manager role you will be customer driven and have a collaborative, hands on approach.
  • You must have excellent relationship building skills you will be able to communicate and influence with stakeholders.
  • You will have a thorough understanding of the food industry and have a genuine passion for food
