We recently took some time out as a team and headed to Center Parcs UK & Ireland for a bit of a reset.

It was a brilliant opportunity to step away from our usual routines, get out of the office, and spend some proper time together!

The theme of the trip was: Being comfortable with being uncomfortable. But if we’re being honest, most people naturally avoid doing this! Not just us, but a lot of people in general.

Time to step away from the usual routine

It’s easy to stick to what you know, keep to familiar routines, and stay in your comfort zone. But over time, that can limit how much you grow, both individually and as a team!

We started the day with a guest speaker session that set the tone for everything that followed. It was all about pushing yourself a bit and stepping outside your comfort zone.

After that, we headed into a scavenger hunt around Center Parcs. That’s where things got competitive pretty quickly. Teams split off, worked out clues, planned routes, and tried to get ahead of each other. It wasn’t just about finishing first though. It was more about how everyone got stuck in and figured things out as a team along the way!

Outside of the planned activities, there was also time just to switch off a bit. No meetings, no usual day to day work, just time to chat and spend time together in an amazing setting.

The main takeaway

By the end of it, everyone had properly thrown themselves into it. Different activities, a different pace, and a completely different environment from the office, but everyone got involved and made the most of it!!
