D&I in Grocery Live

1st October 2025

D&I in Grocery live!

Recently, Gabby Rosenberg and Faseeh-Ullah Elahi attended D&I in Grocery Live, and there was so much to take in! The day was full of honest conversations, real-life examples, and practical advice on making workplaces more inclusive.

Leaders Striving For Change

It was inspiring to hear from leaders who are actively making a difference in the grocery industry. Their passion showed how important it is for leaders to set the tone when it comes to inclusion.

Neurodiversity in the Workplace

One session focused on supporting people who think and work differently. It served as a reminder that businesses can always do more to be genuinely inclusive.

Honesty About Wins and Mistakes

Several companies shared both their successes and where they’ve fallen short. Hearing this level of honesty was refreshing. D&I is an ongoing commitment, not a tick box exercise.

Supporting People Through Menopause and Menstruation

This session highlighted practical steps businesses can take to support employees going through menopause or menstruation. Open conversations and supportive policies can make a real difference.

Feeling Inspired to Act

The closing session left everyone motivated. It showed that creating workplaces where people feel valued and can be themselves is what inclusion is really about.

Why It Matters to Seven

As an SME partner, attending D&I in Grocery Live gave us plenty of ideas to bring back to our own team. Behind the scenes, we’ve been:

  • Discussing D&I at our Employee Ownership Trust Board meetings
  • Taking part in D&I in Grocery Learning Labs
  • Reviewing where we’re doing well and where we need to improve
  • Updating our policies regularly to keep inclusivity front and centre

We’re proud to support GroceryAid and events like D&I in Grocery Live. Workplaces where people feel included and valued aren’t just better for employees – they’re better for everyone.
