Role
Background
Our client is a major player in a fiercely competitive UK drinks market. They’re one of the last privately owned businesses in the sector, benefitting from the explosion of the category and a spurt of mergers and acquisitions over the last few years. This business was facing a necessary shift from their previous position as a small European-based heritage brand to a multi-national corporate drinks business with European headquarters. In short, the business was focussed on growth and major new talent in sales was needed to drive this.
We worked with the client to identify a list of target businesses and individuals to find the person with the right skill-set. Having worked with this business for a short time already we had a good idea of their cultural fit so the short list of 7 were all relevant and invited to interview. There was a need for some negotiation around internal structure around the new role, and the strength of our relationship with the client meant we were in the position to advise on this. Two candidates went to second stage and one was offered the role; he accepted and is still in-role now.
